The Frim Fram Sauce Events:

Swing into Christmas with The Frim Fram Sauce Sunday 15 December 2024
Venue:  The Salisbury Museum     map
Address:   The Kings House, 65 The Close, Salisbury, Wiltshire, SP1 2EN
Telephone:  01722 332151
Event:  Swing into Christmas with The Frim Fram Sauce - Doors 6.30pm - Tickets £15. Doors 6.30pm, music 7pm. With a repertoire that includes a mix of toe-tapping early jazz and swing classics, cool blues stylings and quirky novelty numbers, The Frim Fram Sauce Duo are guaranteed to put some pep in your step and have you swinging into Christmas! Luke Futcher’s rich, smooth crooning takes inspiration from both sides of the Atlantic, drawing comparison to the likes of Bing Crosby, Al Bowlly and Nat King Cole. Grittier, bluesy numbers are delivered with gusto and Luke knows how to wring the comedic value out of a novelty song. His guitar style provides the perfect counterpoint to his voice, conjuring hot club rhythms and the driving swing of a big band. Double Bassist Pete Maxfield is a true jazz heavyweight. Back in 1981, his quartet “Sphere” took home the Young Jazz Musician of the Year award and even topped the Melody Maker Jazz Chart with a No. 1 album! A seasoned performer, Pete has toured internationally, (including a performance in Outer Mongolia), recorded three award-winning albums, worked extensively with acclaimed saxophonist Andy Sheppard and graced countless radio, television, and festival stages. This event is kindly sponsored by Salisbury Printing.
